How to View and Reply to a Church App Notification as a Member

Summary: This guide shows you how to find, view, and reply to reply-enabled notifications directly from your church app.


Before You Begin

  • You must have your church's mobile app installed and be logged in to your member account.
  • Note that replies can only be sent to notifications that have been specifically enabled for replies by the sender.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Open the main menu and tap on Notifications. This is where all of your notifications are listed.

  2. Tap on the notification you wish to reply to. You can identify which notifications are reply-enabled by the "Reply" badge next to the title.
  3. Tap the 'Click to reply' text field at the bottom of the notification details screen.
  4. Type your message into the text field and tap the Send icon. Your reply has now been sent.

Troubleshooting & FAQs

  • Where can I find my reply after I send it? Once you send a reply, the notification and your message become a conversation. You can find this conversation in your My Chat section. Tap "View all chats" to see it in your list alongside your other direct messages and group chats.
  • Why can't I reply to a certain notification? The ability to reply is set by the person who sent the notification (e.g., a church administrator). If you do not see a "Reply" badge or a text field at the bottom of a notification, it is a one-way announcement and cannot be replied to.
  • How do I know if I have a new notification to reply to? In addition to receiving a push notification on your device, you will see new items in the Notifications area of your app's main menu.
