Update Your Organizations Name in Tithely Giving

In the event your organization changes its name, we'll guide you through how to update your organization name in Tithely.

User Permissions needed to access Giving 
Account Owner, Admin, or Limited Access with access granted to the Giving Product. If you have additional questions please reference this article.

Update #1: Organization Settings

  1. Login to your Tithely account.

  2. Select the Global Settings menu at the bottom right of the screen.

  3. Select My Organization.

  4. Then choose Organization Settings.

     Global Settings > My Organization
  5. Update your organization name.

  6. Save Changes.

Update #2: Locations

  1. Login to your Tithely account.

  2. Select the Global Settings menu at the bottom right of the screen.

  3. Select My Organization.

  4. Select Locations.

  5. Select the location you'd like to update by clicking on it.

  6. Update your organization name.

  7. Save Changes.

Update #3: Statement Settings

  1. Login to your Tithely account.

  2. Select Giving from the left-hand menu.

  3. Select Settings from the Giving menu.

  4. Select Deposit and Statement Settings.

  5. Update your Statement Descriptor.

  6. Save Changes.

Update #4: Donation Emails

  1. Login to your Tithely Admin account.

  2. Select Giving from the left-hand menu.

  3. Select Settings from the Giving menu.

  4. Select Donation Emails.

  5. Update the 'from' field to your new organization name.

  6. Save Changes.

Update #5: Giving Form & App

  1. Login to your Tithely Admin account.

  2. Select Giving from the left-hand menu.

  3. Select Settings from the Giving menu.

  4. Select Giving Form and App.

  5. Update your location name to your new organization name.

  6. Update your logo.

  7. Save Changes.

Update #6: Submit Organization Name Change

The primary admin on your Tithely account needs to email priority@tithe.ly your new EIN paperwork with your new organization name.

Include the following information:

  • Clearly state the primary administrator's name and email address.
  • Include your new EIN paperwork.
  • Let the team know your former organization's name and what it has been updated to.
  • Let the team know if any of your other organization information has changed.
