Managing Your Subscriptions

Summary: Learn how to manage your billing and cancel your paid subscriptions (such as Sites, Messaging, Apps, Check Scanning, and Elvanto). Managing your subscriptions is easy, and canceling them will not affect your free giving account.


Before You Begin

  • Permissions: You must be an Account Owner or Admin to access billing settings.

  • Impact on Discounts: Removing subscriptions may affect bundled discounts applied to your account. Please carefully review your new monthly cost before confirming changes.

  • Free Tools: Canceling paid subscriptions (like Sites or Messaging) does not cancel your free Giving account or access to People.

  • Important: Payment Failure Warning Should your payment method expire or fail to process, our system will automatically retry the charge up to 8 times over the subsequent two weeks. If the payment cannot be secured by the end of this period, your subscription will be canceled. To avoid this, please update your payment method using the following directions: Here 


Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Click on Global Settings. (Note: This is the person icon in the navigation menu).

  2. Select Billing from the available options.

  3. Select Subscriptions.

  4. Click Cancel on the subscription you wish to remove. (Note: You can only downgrade one subscription at a time).

  5. Click Continue.

  6. Review your new monthly payment on the screen.

    Caution: Removing subscriptions may affect your applied discounts. Please carefully review your new monthly cost before submitting any changes.

  7. Click Confirm to finalize the cancellation.

Troubleshooting & FAQs

  • When will I lose access to the product? You will loose access to your canceled subscription immediately. 

  • Will this cancel my Giving account? No. Downgrading or canceling paid subscriptions does not affect your free Giving account. You will continue to have full access to Tithely Giving and People.

  • Why did my monthly rate change unexpectedly? If you had a bundled discount for using multiple products, removing one subscription may remove the discount for the remaining products. Always check the "New Monthly Payment" summary before confirming.
