Admin Cancellations and Downgrades

At Tithely, we’re committed to supporting your ministry's mission. We understand that sometimes needs change—whether you’re consolidating duplicate accounts, removing a secondary location, or moving on to a different solution.

Our first priority is the success of our churches. While we're sad to see you go, we want to ensure that your transition—whether to a new platform or just a temporary break—is handled quickly and securely.

Important Things to Know

  • Authorized Requester: Only the Account Owner (AO) can authorize a full account cancellation. Other users will be directed to contact their AO.

  • Data Retention: Giving Data: Maintained for legal and compliance purposes. You will still receive pending transfers after cancellation.

  • Post-Cancellation Access: You may still log in to view historical giving transaction records to satisfy financial auditing and legal requirements.

Looking To Downgrade But Not Cancel Your Account?

If you want to keep your subscription to some products and not others, you can downgrade to the products you only want instead of canceling your whole account.
See Downgrade Your Subscriptions for more information on viewing and editing your subscriptions.

The Mandatory 5-Step Cancellation Process

If you are the Account Owner and have decided to close your account, you must complete these steps in order:

Step 1: Export Your Data

Step 3: Cancel Your Recurring Donations

You must cancel all recurring givers and notify them of the change. Follow the steps in Managing Recurring Giving Donations as an Admin.

How Can I Access Data From a Cancelled Account?

Reach out to our support team using the chat to reopen your account for temporary access.

My account has been cancelled, but can I still log in?

If any transactions have occurred through your account—whether donations, payments, or other forms of transactions—these records must be preserved. It's not just a matter of record-keeping; it's a legal requirement for financial transparency and auditing purposes.
