Looking to connect your Tithely giving to Breeze? The Breeze integration will simply push giving records from Tithely into your Breeze account automagically for you. How often and to what funds these gifts are recorded in Breeze will be determined by the settings you have selected.
The integration should only be setup in 2.0 at this time. If in both, you will experience duplicates.
Set Up the Integration
To set up the integration, you will need your Breeze account subdomain and your API Key.
Follow these steps to set up the Breeze Integration for the first time:

Login to Tithely and click the Global Settings button (Person Icon), then select Integrations.

Find the Breeze integration and click Install.Stay on this page until the next pages loads, otherwise you will need to redo the setup of the integration again. Do not click on the links in this window, as it will stall the setup. Click the green button that says "Help Me Setup the Integration."
- On the next page, input your Breeze Subdomain and Breeze API Key and click Connect to Breeze.
- Once the connection has been made, a green check mark will appear, and you can select the Next button. (If you receive an error page, please try refreshing your screen to complete the next steps).
- In the lefthand navigation panel choose your Organization / Church name under the Manage Campus option. In this section you should update the settings for the integration. To learn more about each setting option reference the Integration Settings section below.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the Campus Settings and find the Connections, click on the green Connect Funds button.
- Select the green Refresh button to initiate a push to bring in your Breeze funds. Then link each Tithely fund to a specific fund in Breeze.
- Once you have connected all of the funds click the green Save button and then click the back to locations settings at the top of the screen.
- Make sure you switch Enable Campus to Active in the campus settings (this is what turns the integration on for each location).
- You'll see your dashboard update and show synch history once we have completed sending your first transaction over.
If you have multiple campuses you will need to repeat steps 8 - 12 for each campus location to get the settings set up properly. Each campus's settings must be configured before syncing of that location's data to Breeze will occur.
Integration (Campus) Settings
Follow these steps to make changes to the campus settings:

Login to Tithely and click the Global Settings button (Person Icon), then select Integrations.

Enter the Breeze integration by clicking the Configure button on the Integrations page.

Click the campus name you wish to work with under Manage Campus on the left navigation panel.

This will open the Campus Settings where you can make adjustments to the integration. View the chart below for a list of all the options and functionality available. The options selected on this page autosave.
If you have multiple campuses you will need to set up the campus settings for each campus location. Each campus's settings must be configured and the enable campus toggled to active before syncing of that location's data to Breeze will occur.
Enable Campus |
This turns on the integration between Tithely and Breeze for this campus. If it is inactive no transactions from this campus will pass over into Breeze. If its active transactions for this campus will push into Breeze. By default this is set to disabled. |
Enable Emails |
If active the email addresses provided in the field below will receive an email every time that Tithely pushes giving into Breeze, if an error occurs, and if the integration becomes disabled. |
Default Breeze Fund |
The default fund you select will be used in the case that giving gets recorded to a fund in Tithely and you have not mapped a Breeze fund up to it before the giving synchs into Breeze. |
Breeze Batch Grouping |
If you select Deposit, this will create a new batch in Breeze containing the transactions in your deposit (named Tithe.ly YYYY-MM-DD) while Daily will create daily batches for all transactions (online and gifts recorded through Admin Batch Giving) that occurred during that day (named Tithe.ly YYYY-MM-DD). *Please note Credit/Debit gifts and ACH gifts create separate batches in Breeze* |
Fee Fund |
If a fee fund is selected, Tithely will split the gross amount of a gift into two transactions when pushed to Breeze. The net of the gift will be recorded to the fund the donor gave towards and the fee of the gift will be recorded in the fund you select here. |
Method |
If you want to change the method that is recorded in Breeze from credit/debit online and ACH (shows in Breeze as Direct Deposit) to something else you will do so here. Whatever you type here will be recorded for the method of all gifts pushed into Breeze from Tithely. (ie. if you were to type Tithely, all gifts in Breeze would reflect the method of tithely) |
Include Campus Name in Group |
If you would like the specific campus name to populate in the batch name in Breeze select yes. This is helpful if you have multiple campuses being recorded in Breeze and want to differentiate easily between the batches. |
Email Notification Addresses |
If you have enable emails active above, you can update the notification email addresses that will receive emails. Use a comma-separated list of emails to send to multiple recipients. |
Connections / Fund Mapping
Connections is where you will find your Fund Mapping. Fund Mapping gives you the ability to map your Tithe.ly funds with the funds in your Breeze account.
For instance, you may have a Tithe.ly giving fund named Youth Missions and want all transactions for that fund to be recorded to the Missions Fund in Breeze. If you do not map your funds, all gifts pushed into Breeze will be recorded to the default fund selected as the Default Breeze Fund in the Campus Settings.
Anytime you make changes to your funds in Tithely or in Breeze, you will want to reconfigure the fund mapping within the integration.
To configure fund mapping, follow these steps:

Login to Tithely and click the Global Settings button (Person Icon), then select Integrations.

Enter the Breeze integration by clicking the Configure button on the Integrations page.

Click the campus name you wish to work with under Manage Campus on the left navigation panel.

Scroll to the bottom of the Campus Settings and find the Connections section. Then, click on the green Connect Funds button.

Select the green Refresh button to update the funds list and make sure it's current.

Link each Tithely fund to a specific fund in Breeze.

Once you have connected all of the funds, click the green Save button.

Then click back to location settings at the top of the screen.
Integration Dashboard
An entry is created in the Dashboard any time data is sent by the integration (Tithely) to Breeze. The dashboard serves as a history for you to cross-reference and reconcile what giving came into Tithely compared to what giving was sent to Breeze.
You'll see your dashboard load once we have completed sending your first batch over. From then on, once a night we will sync any new transactions to Breeze based on your Breeze Batch Grouping selection made in your campus settings.

Login to Tithely, click the Global Settings button (Person Icon), then select Integrations.

Find the Breeze integration and click Configure.

Select Dashboard on the left Navigation panel.
a. You will see a list of synchs we've made to Breeze.
b. Use the search bar at the top to search synchs (or batches) made by location or gross amount of gift; simply hit Enter on your keyboard to trigger the search. To reset the view, clear the search text and hit Enter again.
c. To see the transactions within a specific sync (batch) click the blue number under the 'records' column.
d. Will show you the date and time of the most recent synch to Breeze. -
If you would like to see a list of all individual transactions rather, than synchs (or batches), sent to Breeze click the See all Transactions. This will show all individual transactions, not those grouped by batch/synch.
a. You will see a list of all individual transactions we've sent to Breeze.
b. Use the search bar at the top to search transactions made by location, donor's name, gross or net amount of gift, and then simply hit Enter on your keyboard to trigger the search. To reset the view, clear the search text and hit Enter again.
c. To return to the synchs (or batches) click the Return to Dashboard at the top.
Please Note: There are various things that can happen when Tithely tries to synch data to Breeze.

If you see an Authentication error - your connection to Breeze needs to be updated. Follow the steps in the update subdomain or API key section and ensure all your information is correct.

If you see a message that states An error occurred. The Integrations Team receives a notice of all the errors from the integration. If your configuration settings appear to be correct and the error has not been resolved in a few days, please contact us.
Move Historical Data into Breeze
If you are looking to move historical giving from your Tithely account into Breeze, you can do this by exporting giving out of Tithely and importing it into Breeze. This will be a manual process but will ensure all gifts in Tithely that were given before you setup and enabled the integration get moved into Breeze.

Login to your Tithe.ly Admin account and select Giving.

Select Transactions from the Giving menu.

Click on the Filters button and select the Filter by Date option.

Choose created on
-
Select created on or after and input a historical date to ensure you capture all giving. For instance, if you started with Tithely in December of 2021, you may want to choose a date in November of 2021.

Select the date you set up the integration in the create on or before option.

Click Apply.

Once the transactions have loaded, you will want to customize the columns; click the column button in the upper right corner and select the following options:

Click the small Export File button in the top right-hand corner to download the .csv file on your computer.
Please Note: This will prompt you to download the report file, which will download to your computer's default download location. If you have trouble locating the file, please check your internet browser's download bar or your computer's download folder.

Confirm that the file contains all of the giving you are wanting to be imported to Breeze and then you will need to follow the steps to Import Giving into Breeze. We recommend that you use the generic template to do this, as it will be easier. If you run into any issues while manually importing the giving into Breeze please reach out to us.
Update Subdomain or API Key
Sometimes you may change the subdomain of your Breeze account or update the API key within Breeze. If you do this, this will break the connection between your Tithely account and your Breeze account which uses these components for the connection.
To update the Breeze Subdomain or API key, follow these steps:
- Login to Tithely, click the Global Settings button (Person Icon), then select Integrations.

Enter the Breeze integration by clicking the Configure button on the Integrations page.

Click Settings on the left navigation bar.

Scroll down to Integrations and click Update Credentials.

Update the subdomain and/or API key and click Connect to Breeze.

Note: When a transaction is synced with Breeze a new user will NOT be created if the integration is unable to match with an existing user in Breeze.
*Data refers to the amount a donor has pledged and how much has been contributed to that pledge. For example, if a user sets a pledge amount in Tithely, this will not be reflected on the receiving platform. Contributions to their Tithely pledge will be recorded as regular donations in the receiving platform.
Uninstall the Integration
If you no longer wish to use the Breeze integration, you can uninstall it.
To uninstall the Breeze Integration, follow these steps:

Login to Tithely, click the Global Settings button (Person Icon), then select Integrations.

Find the Breeze integration on the Integrations page and click the trash can in the upper left corner.
