Summary: If you asked to reset your Tithely password and the email never arrived, these steps will help you find it or get a new one sent, so you can log back into your account.
Before You Begin
- Know which email address your Tithely account uses. The reset link only goes to the address on file.
- Know which login you're resetting. Admins log in at app.tithely.com. Donors log in at give.tithe.ly or in the Tithely app.
- Wait at least 10 minutes after your request. Reset emails can be delayed.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Check your Spam, Junk and Promotions folders. Some email providers filter automated emails out of the main inbox. Gmail users should also check the Updates tab.
- Search your inbox for "Tithely" or "password". The email may have been sorted into a folder or label automatically.
- Confirm the email address you entered. Typos are a common cause, and so is using a personal address when the account is under a work or church address (or the other way around). Try every address you might have signed up with.
- Add Tithely to your safe senders list. Add [no-reply@tithe.ly] to your contacts or allowlist so future emails aren't filtered.
- Request a new reset link.
- Admins: Go to app.tithely.com/login, select Forgot my password, enter your email and select Send Reset Link.
- Donors: On the Log In page (give.tithe.ly or the app), select Forgot Password?, enter your email and select Reset Password.
- Open the newest email and select the link. Use only the most recent link. Reset links work once, and requesting a new one can make older links invalid.
Troubleshooting & FAQs
- I used a church or work email address and nothing comes through: Your organization's email filters may be blocking automated messages. Ask your IT administrator to allow emails from Tithely, then request a new link.
- I've tried everything and still don't have the email: Contact Tithely Support with the email address you're trying to use. Support can check whether the email was sent, bounced or blocked, and help you get back in.
- The link says it's expired or invalid: Request a new reset email and select the link in that newest message right away.
- I reset my password but now it says "not authorized": Your admin access may have changed. Contact your church's Account Owner to confirm your permissions.
- I need to reset my PIN, not my password: PINs are reset separately. See the related article below.
