How to Share and Launch Your Pledge Campaign

Summary: Every Pledge Campaign gets its own public webpage that donors use to make a pledge. This article shows you where to find that page's link, how to customize it, and how to share it with your church by link or by embedding it on your website.

Before you start

Step 1: Open the Webpage tab

Your campaign's link, embed code and display options all live on the Webpage tab.

  1. In your Tithely account, go to Giving > Pledge Campaigns.
  2. Select the campaign you want to share.
  3. Click the Webpage tab.

Step 2: Find, customize and copy your campaign URL

The Campaign Address (URL) section of the Webpage tab shows the public link donors will use to open your campaign.

The link has three parts: https://campaigns.tithely.com/, your church's account ID and name, and the campaign name (for example, https://campaigns.tithely.com/*-your-church-name/your-campaign-name).

  1. Under Webpage URL, review the last part of the link. This is the campaign's name in the address.
  2. If you want a different ending, edit that last part, then click Save changes. Use short, simple words that donors will recognize.
  3. Click Copy Webpage URL to copy the full link to your clipboard.

Open the copied link in a new browser tab to see your campaign page the way donors will.

Step 3: Choose what shows on your campaign page

The Webpage Display section controls which parts of the page donors see. Switch each option to yes or no, then click Save changes.

Option What it controls
Show Featured Video The campaign's featured video
Show Thumbnail The campaign thumbnail image
Show Banner The campaign banner image
Show "Give One Time Donation" Button A button that lets donors give a one-time gift instead of a pledge
Show Full Description The full campaign description
Show Share Option A way for donors to share the campaign
Show Number of Pledges How many pledges have been made
Show Total Amount Pledged The total dollar amount pledged so far

Step 4: Make sure your campaign is enabled and set to go live

Donors can only use your campaign page once it is live. Check two things before you share the link:

  • Enable: turn the Enable toggle on. On the Pledge Campaigns list, the Enabled column should show yes for your campaign.
  • Status: a campaign set to Staged goes live automatically on its start date. Check the Duration column on the list to confirm the start and end dates are what you expect.

Step 5: Share your campaign

There are two ways to put your campaign in front of donors: share the link, or embed the page on your church website.

Share the link

  1. On the Webpage tab, click Copy Webpage URL.
  2. Paste the link into your emails, text messages, social media posts, announcements or bulletin.

Embed the campaign on your website

  1. On the Webpage tab, scroll to Embed Code and click Copy Embed Code.
  2. Paste the code into an HTML or embed block on the page of your website where you want the campaign to appear. The page will show your campaign inside your own site.

The embed code is an iframe that is set to fill the width of the page and 80% of the screen height. If your website builder lets you edit the code, you can change the height value to fit your page.
