Understanding the New Payout and Deposit Timing with Stripe

Summary: This article explains a recent update from our payment processor, Stripe, that makes deposit timing more precise. Your funds will now consistently arrive on the exact day they are scheduled, which is the new expected behavior.

Before You Begin

  • This change affects all deposits scheduled to arrive on or after September 29, 2025.
  • This was a system-wide update from our payment processor and does not reflect a change in your account status.

Explanation of the Change

  1. Previous Payout Timing: Previously, you may have noticed that payouts were initiated before their scheduled arrival date. For example, a deposit scheduled for a Wednesday might have arrived in your bank account on Tuesday.
  2. New Payout Timing: As of September 29th, Stripe now initiates payouts on the same day they are scheduled to arrive. This means a deposit scheduled for Wednesday will be created and deposited on Wednesday. Funds should be available by the end of that day.
  3. Reason for the Update: Stripe made this change to improve how they handle refunds, disputes, and transfers. This helps reduce the risk of unsettled funds and creates a more stable payment environment for everyone.

Troubleshooting & FAQs

  • My deposit arrived later than it normally does. Is something wrong? No, your account is in good standing. This is the new expected timing for all deposits. The previous experience of receiving funds a day early will no longer happen. Deposits arriving on their exact scheduled date is now the correct and normal behavior.
  • How can I receive my payouts earlier in the week? If you would prefer to receive your funds on a different day (e.g., Tuesday instead of Wednesday), you can adjust your deposit schedule in your account settings. This allows you to choose a new expected arrival date for your funds.
  • Did your company change its deposit process? No, nothing has changed on our end. This update simply means our payment processor is sending deposits on the exact day they are scheduled to arrive, rather than a day in advance.
