Giving Dashboard Overview

The Giving Dashboard provides a detailed snapshot of your church's donations, accessible to users with specific permissions. It doesn't update in real-time but refreshes nightly. Key features include total giving analysis, insights into donor behavior, and the financial impact of both recurring and one-time gifts. Sections on covered fees, top givers, and new donors offer valuable data, while filters allow customization by date or location. This tool is essential for managing and understanding your church's financial health and donor engagement.

Please Note: The Giving Dashboard is not updated in real-time. It undergoes a nightly refresh to provide the latest information. You can refresh individual widgets at any time to ensure you have the most accurate information.

Account Owner, Admin, or Limited Access with access granted to the Giving Product. If you have additional questions please reference this article.

How to Access the Giving Dashboard

1. Login to your Tithely Admin account.

2. Select Giving.

3. The Dashboard will be the first page that loads.

You can use Filters to view the data for any given date range, as well as for a different location.

Refresh Widgets

1. In the event a widget does not load the individual widget will look like the below image: 
   
2. Select the Refresh button to refresh your widget. 

Following these steps, you can easily refresh individual widgets within the Giving Dashboard to ensure you have the most up-to-date information.

 

Understanding The Dashboard Timestamp

• You will see a timestamp now listed on the top right corner of your Dashboard.
• The “Last Updated” line displays the most recent update made to your Dashboard. This means that the Dashboard will include all donations up to this time.
• The “Next Update” line shows the next day that this intends to update. You may see this date as the same day as the Last Update date. Since the Dashboard can update multiple times per day, you may see the Next Update date match the Last Updated date. This is normal and means that you can expect another update to your Dashboard before the end of the day.

An Overview of Each Section in the Giving Dashboard

Total Giving

The Total Giving area displays (in gross amounts) total donor giving plus giving by the month. The default data will display for 6 months, or you can select a date range using the filters. Hovering over a dot on the graph will show the total monthly gifts for a single location or giving for each individual location as well as the total amount.

Quick Insights

• Total number of gifts
• Total number of givers
• Gross amount for the weekly average
• Gross amount for the average gift
• Gross amount for recurring giving
• Percentage of gifts that are recurring

Covered Fees

Covered Fees show the percentage of gifts with fees paid by donors, as well as the amount saved for your organization by donors covering fees. If you hover over either side of the donut, you can see the exact percentage of gifts with covered fees and gifts without covered fees.

Recurring Gifts vs Onetime

Recurring Gifts vs Onetime is a comparison of recurring giving versus one-time gifts. Hovering over any given bar will show the gross amount of one-time gifts, the gross amount of recurring gifts, and the sum of both.

All Gifts

All Gifts gives the total number of gifts for either a single campus or each campus if you have multiple locations.

The Weekly Average

The Weekly Average is the gross amount of average gifts.

First-Time Givers

View the names and amounts given by those giving to your church for the first time.

Frequent Givers

View the names and consistency of gifts from loyal givers.

Top Givers

The Top Givers Widget allows you to identify and appreciate those who have made significant contributions to your church's mission and impact. By utilizing this widget, you can gain a deeper understanding of your donors' giving patterns, and recurring donations.

Your top 5 donors are shown in the preview. To view a top-down list of all givers, simply click View All.

Click through the pages, or export the information into a document format. 

When exporting, all donors for the timeframe selected will be included in a most-to-least format. 

 

At-Risk Givers

View givers who have given within the last 6 months but not within the last 60 days.

Lapsed Givers

View givers whose most recent gift was more than 1 month ago.

Givers by Average Weekly Gift

View the average weekly gift size and number of donors that fall into that specific gift size category.

Transactions Bucketed by Gift Size

View the number of transactions bucketed by gifts size.
