The Sermon Player allows you to easily upload audio and video messages with the option of including sermon notes in PDF format.
User Permissions needed to access Sites
Account Owner, Admin, Limited Acess User with permissions granted for Sites, or Admin Permissions granted directly on the Tithely Site. If you have additional questions, please reference this article.
How to Upload a Sermon to Your Tithely Site
- Login to your Tithely account and select Sites from the left menu. Or login to your site directly.
- Go to the Sermons page on your website.
- Click on the FAB (edit pencil) which can be found on the top left side of the page. Select Add Sermon.
- Next, enter the sermon information.
- Title & Subtitle
Please Note: Sermon titles can be a max of 55 characters. - Date
- Speaker
- Series Name
- Description
- Reference
- Sermon Notes in PDF Format
- Audio and/or Video File
File Requirements:- The audio file must be an MP3 file, we recommend file sizes around 30MB and smaller than 50MB.
- The mp3 file name cannot contain punctuation.

Video files must be uploaded to YouTube or Vimeo first.
- Title & Subtitle
- Click the Create Sermon button to save and publish.

Recently, YouTube updated its video-sharing feature and changed the video URL for streamed videos, resulting in videos not playing outside of YouTube. To help you fix this issue here's a simple way to get the correct link to use on your Tithely site:

If using Facebook for Video
Facebook also has the tendency to block certain videos from populating on your site without warning. A link will always be provided to view the video directly in Facebook however, if this happens (see image below). This is out of our control and is ultimately at the mercy of Facebook. We recommend using YouTube or Vimeo as your primary source.
