If you're interested in having a website in an alternative language, there are a few options available to you. One option is to create a separate website, which comes with an additional cost. Alternatively, if you're looking to translate your existing website, you might want to consider using a third-party widget called Weglot. This is a simple solution that allows you to translate your website without having to create a new one. All you need to do is create an account with Weglot, and we'll be happy to add the code to your website's header for you.
How to Use the Sites Translations Panel
Using the translations panel, you can update your Tithely Site to nearly any language. This allows for the customization of hard-coded words (or phrases) on your site to the language of your choice.
Note: This is a manual process.
- Login to your Tithely account and select Sites from the left menu. Or login to your site directly.
- Click on the Admin button at the top right of your website and select Settings from the dropdown.
- Select Translations from the settings menu.
- Replace the Default text by completing the 'Translation' field with the word/phrase of your choice (ie. Default: Blog, Translation: Pastor's Blog). See more examples below.
Country Code
The translation page is also where you will adjust your country code for phone numbers. By default, Tithely Sites add a "1" to all phone numbers listed on Sites, however, if you live in a country with a different country code it is a simple fix! Simply add your country code here:
For example, if your country code is +61, simply add 61 to the field.
