Edit the Contact Details and Office Hours on Your Tithely Site

Summary: Learn how to quickly update your church's contact details and office hours, which automatically populate your site's footer and default Contact page. This guide also explains how to build a custom Contact page if your information exceeds the default template's layout limits.


Before You Begin

  • You must have administrative access to your Tithely Site to make these changes.

  • Layout Constraint Warning: Because the default site template has set boundaries, very long text (such as lengthy email addresses) may get cut off or appear misaligned on the default Contact tab. This is expected behavior. If you run into this limitation, please see the workaround below to build a custom page.


Step-by-Step Instructions

Updating Your Default Contact Information

Your contact details and office hours are automatically pulled into your default Contact page (/contact) and your site footer.

  1. Log in to your Tithely account and select Sites from the left menu (or log in to your site directly).

  2. Click the Admin button at the top right of your website and select Settings from the dropdown.

  3. Select General from the left-hand menu.

  4. Edit your contact information and/or office hours as needed.

5. Click Save General at the bottom of the page.

Workaround: Creating a Custom Contact Page

If your email address or other contact information is getting cut off by the default template, you can gain total control over the design by deleting the default tab and building a custom page.

  1. Navigate to Admin > Menus.

  2. Hover over the default Contact tab, Click the three-dot menu, and Select Delete.

  3. Create a new page and name it "Contact".

  4. Click the + button on your new page to add content blocks.

    • Tip: We recommend adding a Map block to display your address, and a Text with Photo block to display your detailed contact info and hours.

  5. Save and publish your new page.


Troubleshooting & FAQs

  • Why is my email address cut off or misaligned on the Contact tab? This is expected behavior when content exceeds the layout constraints of the default site template. To fix this and gain more flexibility over how your contact information is presented, follow the steps above to create a custom Contact page using blocks.

  • Where else does my contact info show up? When you update your information under Admin > Settings > General, it will automatically update in your site's footer (if you have the footer contact block enabled) as well as the default /contact page.
