Making a pledge to your church's pledge campaign is a meaningful way to contribute to specific church projects, such as a new building fund. Here's a step-by-step guide to setting up your pledge online, ensuring your contributions are tracked and managed efficiently.

Step 1: Access the Pledge Form
Your church will provide you with a link to a pledge campaign. Click on this link to open the pledge form. This form is where you'll indicate how much you plan to pledge and the frequency of your contributions.
Step 2: Enter Your Pledge Amount
Start by entering the total amount you wish to pledge over the campaign period.
For example, if the campaign runs from February 28th to the end of 2024, and you wish to pledge $5,000, enter this amount in the designated field.
Step 3: Choose Your Frequency
Next, select how often you plan to contribute towards your pledge. Options include:
- Weekly
- Biweekly
- Monthly
- The 1st and the 15th of each month
- Custom Schedule: Allows you to define your own contribution frequency.
Step 4: Determine Your Gift Today
Decide if you want to make an initial contribution towards your pledge today. This amount will be included in your total pledge.
For instance, you might choose to give $100 today as part of your $5,000 pledge.
Step 5: Review Your Pledge Plan
The pledge form will automatically calculate your contribution schedule based on the frequency and total amount you've selected.
For example, a weekly contribution might be set at $111.37 for 44 weeks.
Step 6: Enter Your Contact Information
Fill in your contact details. If you have a Tithely account, ensure you use the same information here to link your pledge to your existing account. This helps with managing your pledges and keeping your tax receipts organized.
Step 7: Create Your Pledge
Once you've confirmed the details of your pledge, click "Create my pledge."
Depending on the frequency at which you plan to donate toward your pledge, you will have different options from here since this is only setting up your pledge, not donating.
- If you choose a recurring schedule (Weekly, Bi-Weekly, 1st &15th, Monthly), you will be prompted to set up your payment method.
- If you choose “Custom” and to give one time, it will prompt you to add a payment method for your today’s gift.
- If you choose “Custom” and opt not to give anything today, it will thank you for setting up your pledge. Then, you can feel free to give any time to the pledge campaign fund through the Giving Form.

- Using a Tithely account to manage your pledges is highly recommended. It simplifies the process for both you and your church's administration.
- Your pledge contributions are scheduled based on the frequency you select, but you won't be charged until you finalize your payment setup.
- Customizing your pledge frequency gives you flexibility in how you support your church's campaign.
