This article provides guidance for Tithely donors on managing their recurring donations via desktop. It details the steps for creating new automated gifts, allowing for continuous support to a chosen church or organization on various frequencies like weekly or monthly. Readers will also learn how to view and edit existing recurring donations, as well as the process for deleting them if no longer needed.
Tithely Tip
If you’d like to give to multiple funds with a recurring gift, you’ll need to set up each gift separately. Unfortunately, a recurring gift cannot be split between different funds. If using a legacy giving app or form your gift will process on the next scheduled day not immediately.
Creating a Recurring Gift on Desktop

Log In to your donor account and select Recurring (in the top menu options).
Note: If this is your first time signing into or up for the giving app you will be greeted with a 'Find Your Church' screen. After selecting a church you will immediately start the giving flow, step 4 below. - Select Set Up Recurring Gift.
- Enter the Amount you would like to give on are recurring basis.
- Select the giving Fund you would like to give to.
Note: The churches default giving fund will automatically be selected unless changed. - Enter a Frequency:
Note: The default is One Time, to make your gift recurring select a frequency.- One Time
- Weekly
- Bi-Weekly
- 1st & 15th
- Monthly
- Enter Frequency details:
Note: Once you set a frequency, you'll need to specify the details. For instance, if you choose a monthly frequency, you will then select the day of the month for the donation to be processed.-
Weekly
- Select the day of week.

Bi-Weekly
- Select the day of the week.

1st & 15th
- Select start date.

Monthly
- Select the numbered day of the month.

Weekly
- Select the Start Date of your gift.
Note: This will be the first day your gift is initiated. Your gift will not start until the selected date. - Add a Payment Information.
- Toggle on our off to Cover the Fees.
Note: Covering the fees on behalf of your church allows the church to receive the Net Amount of your donation. - Add Memo or Extra Details (If available)
- Finally select the Give button at the bottom when finished.
- You will get a confirmation screen when your gift has been processed!
Steps to View and Edit Recurring Donations
Tithely Tip
The Payment Method cannot be adjusted for an existing Recurring Donation on Desktop. If you need to update the Payment Method, please update your recurring gift using the Tithely Giving App or delete and recreate your gift on your desktop. This includes updating an expiration date as well.
- Log In to your donor account and select Recurring (in the top menu options). Note: Your Recurring Giving is specific to the church location you are currently viewing. If you've donated to other churches, you will need to access their respective church location to review contributions made to them.
- Select the Pencil Icon to edit your gift, on the next page you can adjust:
- Amount.
- Frequency.
- Skip Until.
- End Date.
- Fund.
- Select Update Recurring Gift once you have made your changes.
Delete a Recurring Donation
- If you want to delete a Recurring Donation select Recurring (in the top menu options) and click on the Delete button (trash icon).
- A confirmation popup will appear to ensure you want to proceed with the action.
The popup offers two options:- Delete Recurring Gift: Choosing this option will permanently remove the Recurring Donation from your list.
- Set to Skip Future Gift: Selecting this option will open the edit screen for the Recurring Donation, enabling you to set a Skip Date for future donations.
- Select your option and continue.
