Summary: Learn how to easily split a single donation across multiple funds using the Tithely Giving app. This guide covers the requirements, step-by-step instructions, and how these split gifts appear in your giving history.
Before You Begin
Please note the following requirements before attempting to make a multi-fund donation:
Multiple Funds Available: The church or location you are giving to must have more than one fund set up and available on their giving form.
One-Time Gifts Only: You must be giving a one-time gift. Multi-fund giving is not currently supported for recurring donations.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Tap the Give Now button in the Giving app.
Enter the amount for your first gift and continue to the giving details. (Note: If your church does not have a default fund set, you will need to select the fund for your first gift before the option to add another appears).
Tap the Add another gift button.

Select your additional fund from the available options and enter the amount for this second gift. (Note: The fund you selected for your first gift will be excluded from this list).

Review your donation. The total gift amount and the final give button will automatically update to reflect the sum of all your selected gifts. You can also choose whether to cover the processing fees at this time.
Tap the Give button at the bottom of the screen to complete your donation.
Troubleshooting & FAQs
How do I remove a fund if I change my mind? Simply tap the minus (-) button next to the fund you wish to remove, and it will be deleted from your current donation flow.
Why am I getting an error message when I try to change the frequency? Multi-fund gifts are limited to one-time donations. If you attempt to change the frequency to recurring while multiple funds are selected (or if you try to add a second fund to a recurring gift), the app will display a message blocking the action. You must flip the frequency back to "One time" to proceed.
How do I view this donation in my history? Navigate to the main app menu and tap History. You will see your recent gifts listed there, marked with a specific multi-giving icon. Tapping into the details will display a message confirming it was a multi-fund gift.
Why didn't my "Quick Give" screen update after I made a multi-fund donation? The Quick Give tool currently only supports single-fund donations. It intentionally ignores multi-fund gifts. Instead, it will continue to display your last one-time, single-fund donation, or respect the default preconfigurations you previously set up.
