Export Individual Transactions

Summary: If you need to pull a giving report for one specific person, this guide walks you through the straightforward process of filtering by a donor's name and exporting their transaction history as a CSV file.

Before You Begin

  • You must log in to Tithely as an Admin or a Limited Access User with financial permissions to view and export transactions.

  • Important Note: The CSV export will exactly match the columns and filters that are actively selected on your screen at the time of export.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Log in to your Tithely account.

  2. Select Giving from the main left-hand menu.

  3. Select Transactions from the Giving menu.

  4. Search for the specific donor by typing their name into the search bar.

  5. Click the + Filter button to select your desired date range for this donor's transactions (and any other specific filters you need, like a specific fund).

  6. Click the Export button at the top right corner of the page.

  7. Locate the downloaded file on your computer.

    • Depending on your browser settings, this CSV file will typically go straight to your Downloads folder or your Desktop.

Troubleshooting & FAQs

  • Why does my export include transactions from everyone? If your CSV file has all donors listed, you likely forgot to apply the name search or filter before exporting. Make sure you search for the specific donor's name and see only their transactions on your screen before you click the Export button.

  • Why isn't my export downloading? If nothing happens when you click export, make sure you have a Date Range selected in your filters. A date range is typically required to generate the CSV file.

  • Can I customize the information included in the export? Yes! The CSV will download exactly what is showing on your screen. If you need more (or less) information in the spreadsheet, use the Columns button on the Transactions page to add or remove data points (like Email, Address, or Fees) before clicking Export.
