Tithely Pay (POS) FAQs (Sunsetting May 11, 2026)

Tithely Pay (POS) tool is scheduled to be sunsetted May 11th 2026. This means this tool will no longer be available. We recommend transitioning to Square or Clover if your church is looking for a point-of-sale (POS) solution for in-person transactions. 

What do I use instead of Tithely Pay? 

As Tithely Pay sunsets on May 11th 2026, we recommend transitioning to Square or Clover if your church is looking for a point-of-sale (POS) solution for in-person transactions. 

What if I want to collect tax deductible donations in person?

How do I View and Export my Transactions from Tithely Pay?

You will still have access to your transactions through the admin portal once we sunset Tithely Pay. Please see this article for a detailed walkthrough: Here

Can I use my Tithely Pay card reader after the sunset? 

No the card reader will no longer we useful after May 11th. More info on card readers: Here

Can I use my Tithely Pay App after the sunset?

No the App will not be available after the sunset, please recover any data you need from the App before this date. More info on the app: Here

How do I log in to my Tithely Pay App to get my itemized records?

The transaction list in the web dashboard is not itemized. If you need an itemized record of your transactions, you must take screenshots directly from your Tithely Pay mobile app. Please do this as soon as possible, as you will no longer have access to the app once Tithely Pay is sunset. How do I Refund A Tithely Pay Transaction?

Learn how to manage refunds for Tithely Pay transactions efficiently through the Tithely Pay app.

Refunding Steps:

  1. Launch the Tithely Pay app from your device.
  2. Log into Tithely Pay. 
  3. Select the Hamburger Menu in the top right to expand the menu.
  4. Select Activity.
  5. Locate the transaction you would like to Refund. 
  6. Select Refund
  7. This transaction will be refunded immediately and will appear back in the payees account in 5-7 business days.

Important Notes:

  • Tithely Pay App: Refunds for Tithely Pay purchases can only be processed through the Tithely Pay app.
  • Device Flexibility: While refunds aren't available through the Tithely Admin area, you can use any iOS device to access the app and initiate a refund.
  • Convenience: Handle refund requests on-the-go by using your iPhone, ensuring you can assist customers immediately, regardless of their purchase location.

What was Tithely Pay used for?

Tithely Pay was a tool for processing credit or debit card payments in person as a point-of-sale solution. Note: Tithely Pay CANNOT be used to accept donations. Please use Tithely Giving for donations. All Tithely Pay transactions were marked as non-tax-deductible and will not appear in Tax Statements or a donor's transaction history.

What fees were associated with Tithely Pay?

Fees for transactions are as follows:

  1. When a card is present - 2.6% + $0.10 per transaction
    When you use the Tithely Pay Card Reader to swipe, insert a card, tap to pay, or use Apple/Google/Samsung Pay.
  2. Manually entered card details - 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction
