Creating and Editing Categories in the Pay Shop

Effective categorization is key to providing a seamless shopping experience for your customers. In this article, we'll walk you through the process of organizing your shop by creating and editing categories. From defining categories to assigning products, we'll cover everything you need to know to optimize your shop's layout and navigation.

How to Create and Edit Categories in the Pay Shop

  1. Open the Tithely Pay app on your iOS device and log in.

  2. Connect your card reader.

    If you need help connecting your card reader please refer to these steps.

  3. From the main dashboard, click the triple bar in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. The screen will slide to the left, allowing you to choose from a menu. From here, you can click Products to access Categories.

  4. Follow the instructions below to guide you through how to create a new category, or update an exiting one.

How to Create a Category

  1. At the bottom of the Categories list, click Add Product Category

  2. Fill in the Category details:

    • Tap to add an image. This will allow you to add an image for the product.

    • Add a name that describes the product category

    • To add products to the new category, search or scroll to find a product or products, and then select the + button.
      Please Note: A product can belong to multiple categories.

  3. Press the Save Product Category button.

    A category will display in the Category list, but not the Shop until products are added.

How to Edit a Category

  1. From the Categories list, click on the category you'd like to edit.

  2. Click Edit, in the upper right-hand corner of your screen.

  3. Edit the Category details:

    • Change the category image

    • Update the category name

    • To delete a product, search or scroll to find the product and select the X button

    • To add a new product to the category, select the + button

  4. Press the Save Product Category
