A site-wide alert allows you to communicate important information or updates to website visitors on every page of your website. This works great if you have an event or worship service that has been canceled.
Please note, this is an ALERT feature, at this time the color cannot be changed from red.
Turn ON a Site Wide Alert
- Login to your Tithely account and select Sites from the left menu. Or login to your site directly.

Quick Add News Post
From any page on the site, click the Quick Add Menu ' + ' next to the Admin Menu top right of the website, and then click News Post in the drop-down
Add from the News Page
On the events page (/news) on your website, click on the FAB (edit pencil) which can be found on the top left side of the page.
Select Add News Post.

Complete the relevant fields.
- Title + Subtitle
- Author
- Associated Program/Ministry
The associate field allows you to associate an event with a ministry. If associated, the event will display on the corresponding ministry page.

Enter your news article details here. -
Images

Additional options to insert a YouTube or Vimeo link and upload a file for download.
- Comments
Select if you'd like to enable comments on the news post, and if you'd like to be notified of new comments. -
Placement: Select Site Wide Alert.

Date and time you'd like the post to publish

Click Save News Post.
The site wide alert will now be displayed at the top of the page in a red ribbon. Website visitors can always click the little "x" to remove the alert once they have seen it.
Turn OFF a Site Wide Alert
- Login to your Tithely account and select Sites from the left menu. Or login to your site directly.
- Click on your site wide alert title. This will take you to the site alert news post page.
- Click the Edit button (pencil Icon) and select Edit News Post.
- Scroll to the bottom and choose between:
If you want to keep the news post, uncheck 'Site Wide Alert' and then click Save News Post which will just remove the site wide alert but will keep the news post on your news page if you have the placement news page selected.
If you want to delete the post entirely, click the Delete button (trash can icon), which will remove the site wide alert and the news post.
User Permissions needed to access Sites
Account Owner, Admin, Limited Acess User with permissions granted for Sites, or Admin Permissions granted directly on the Tithely Site. If you have additional questions, please reference this article.
