Add a News Post to Sites

There are multiple routes to adding a new News post, including quick add, directly from the News Page, or accessing the area in content. Within your post, you can select whether you'd like to associate it with a ministry to have the post appear on the corresponding ministry page. You can also select your placement settings to control where on the website your post will be displayed. 

How to Add A News Post

  1. Login to your Tithely account and select Sites from the left menu. Or login to your site directly.
  2. Quick Add News Post

    From any page on the site, click the Quick Add Menu ' + ' next to the Admin Menu top right of the website, and then click News Post in the drop-down

    On the events page (/news) on your website, click on the FAB (edit pencil) which can be found on the top left  side of the page.

    Select Add News Post.

  3. Complete the relevant fields.
    • Title + Subtitle
    • Author
    • Associated Program/Ministry

      The associate field allows you to associate an event with a ministry. If associated, the event will display on the corresponding ministry page. 

    • Body
      Enter your news article details here.

    • Images

    • Additional options to insert a YouTube or Vimeo link and upload a file for download.

    • Comments 
      Select if you'd like to enable comments on the news post, and if you'd like to be notified of new comments.

    • Date and time you'd like the post to publish

  4. Click Save News Post
 

Please Note: News posts will display in the News Block for 90 days after the published date.

User Permissions needed to access Sites
Account Owner, Admin, Limited Acess User with permissions granted for Sites, or Admin Permissions granted directly on the Tithely Site. If you have additional questions, please reference this article.
