Add a Blog to Tithely Sites

There is a blog available on all sites at no additional cost. You can set up a menu item to allow visitors to easily navigate to your blog. If you have a blog on another website, you can also direct people to your external blog using a redirect or menu item. 

Add a Blog to Your Site

  1. Login to your Tithely account and select Sites from the left menu. Or login to your site directly.
  2. Go to /blog (ie. yourdomain.com/blog). This is your blog page where you can start creating new blog posts. All entries will be archived down the right-hand side of the page.
    You can also access the Blog by going to the Content section of your website (accessed through the Admin menu found in the top right of your website).
  3. You will now have to create a menu navigation item or button that links to your blog so that website visitors can read your blog posts. Click the Admin menu and select Menus from the dropdown.

  4. Decide where you would like your Blog menu item, in the Main Menu, Topbar or Footer. Select the location under Site Menus on the left.
  5. Click Add Link.
  6. On the Add Link page, enter your page details.
    1. Label is what the Menu Item will be called.
    2. Link to is where the menu item will direct to. Use the dropdown to select Blog.
    3. Set your visibility to All, Logged In Users or Admin Only. 
  7. Click Save Link. 

Link to an External Third Party Blog

Make sure you have your third party blog site url ready. 

  1. Login to your Tithely account and select Sites from the left menu. Or login to your site directly.
  2. You will now have to create a menu navigation item or button that links to your blog so that website visitors can read your blog posts. Click the Admin menu and select Menus from the dropdown.

  3. Decide where you would like your Blog menu item, in the Main Menu, Topbar or Footer. Select the location under Site Menus on the left.
  4. Click Add Link.
  5. On the Add Link page, enter your page details.
    1. Label is what the Menu Item will be called.
    2. Link to is where the menu item will direct to. Insert your third party blog url here.
    3. Set your visibility to All, Logged In Users or Admin Only.
    4. Select if you'd like the blog to open in a new tab. This will keep your website open for visitors. 
  6. Click Save Link.

User Permissions needed to access Sites
Account Owner, Admin, Limited Acess User with permissions granted for Sites, or Admin Permissions granted directly on the Tithely Site. If you have additional questions, please reference this article.
