We've made it easier than ever to track and understand your giving with a new, Year to Date Giving Tracker in the donor app. Accessible from your donor app home screen, this feature provides a clear, at-a-glance view of your donations over different time periods.
Once you enter the experience, you'll see four main sections: a comparison window, a detailed breakdown, action buttons, and a giving summary by fund.
Choose Your Timeframe
At the top of the screen, you can select from three different timeframes to view your giving. The data on the screen will update automatically based on your selection.

Compare Your Giving
The "Window Breakdown" section provides a quick summary of your giving, comparing the selected period to a previous one.
- Your Giving Today: See the total amount you've given in the currently selected period (YTD, Quarter, or Month).
- Comparison Period: We automatically calculate and display the total you gave during the same time period just before. For example, if you're viewing "This Month," the comparison period is the previous month.
- Percentage and Dollar Change: A percentage and dollar amount show you if your giving is up or down compared to the previous period.
How the Comparison Period is Defined: The comparison period always matches the same dates in the previous window. For example, if today is June 20th and you select "Year to Date," we'll compare your giving from January 1st to June 20th of this year against January 1st to June 20th of last year. This applies to months and quarters as well, ensuring you're always comparing the same number of days. If the periods have a different number of days, the comparison will use the maximum number of days in the shorter period to provide a fair comparison.

Take Action
Below the summary card, you'll find two action buttons:
- View Giving History: Tap this to see a full, detailed list of all your past donations.
- Give Now: This button takes you directly to the giving form so you can make a donation instantly.
Detailed Giving Metrics
This section provides a deeper look at your giving for the selected timeframe.
- Giving Overview:
- Total Given: The total amount of your donations, including any pending gifts.
- Number of Gifts: The total number of donations, including pending gifts.
- Average Gift Amount: Your average donation amount.
- Pending Gifts: If you have any pending donations, a separate line item will show you the total. This line will only appear if you have a pending gift.
- Giving by Fund:
- This list breaks down your total giving by each fund you have contributed to in the selected period.
- The funds are ordered the same way they appear on your giving form.
- Only funds you have given to will be displayed. If you have donated to more than 10 funds, a "load more" button will appear at the bottom of the list.
What If There's No Giving History?
- No Donations Ever: If you have no donation history, the screen will inform you that there are no donations on record and provide a Give Now button to get you started.
- No Donations in the Current Period: If you have given in the past but not during the selected timeframe, the screen will show the time filters and summary, but a message will appear informing you that there are no donations for this period. You'll have the option to Give Now or View Giving History.
