IMPORTANT NOTICE
Do not share any of the links you receive when using Text-to-Give with friends or other donors. Sharing these links will link their donations to your account, causing their contributions to appear on your profile and giving statements.
Setting Up Text Giving
- Text Give to your church’s Text Giving number.
- You'll receive a text message containing a personalized link.❗ IMPORTANT: This link is unique to your phone number and should not be shared.
Example message: "Hi there! Click here (https://tithe.ly/give?sms=1&church_id=(churchID)num=(yourphonenumber) to set up Text Giving to [Church Name]. It's quick and easy!" - Click the provided link.

If you already have a Tithely account, Log In.

If you're a new user, Create An Account.
Note: For a smoother experience, add your preferred payment method(s) to your account before using Text Giving.

- Select your preferred payment method within your Tithely Account. This step connects your phone number to your account and payment method for future text donations.
- Once your account is connected, close the web browser and return to your text messages.
Note: The setup link is not for making donations. It's solely for connecting your account. - Text an amount to donate:
- That's all! Moving forward, you will simply text your donation details.
Text To Give Options
Once your account is created you can simply text a number amount (Example: 50) to your church's text to give number and your gift will be made!
Text Commands
Once your account is created, you can use the following:

Set Up Emoji Text Giving
Please Note: You must have a Tithe.ly Donor account to use text giving. The system will automatically recognize your number if you have an account. If you don't have an account connected to your phone number, you will be prompted to create one.
- Start a new text message on your mobile device.
- Enter your church's phone number as the recipient.
- Add the emoji you would like to use.
- Add a space and then an = sign.
- add a space and enter the dollar amount you would like to assign.
Note: Only use numbers. - Add a space and type the giving fund you would like to give to.
- Send your text message.
Text Giving Emoji Setup: Emoji = Amount Fund
That’s it! From now on this will be designated as the emoji you wish to use for the amount you set. All you have to do going forward is send the emoji and you’ll receive a receipt confirmation of your donation.
Note: You do not have to use the emojis listed above! Emojis can be customized to each donor’s preference. 😃
Connected Experience
- Account Linking: Once you log in, your phone number will be linked to your Tithely account, enabling future Text-to-Give donations to be processed smoothly.
- Payment Management: Access and manage your payment history anytime by logging into your Tithely donor account.
Flexibility and Control
- Text-to-Give offers donors the flexibility to make donations quickly, manage giving preferences, and review donation history, ensuring full control over their giving experience.
Refund Option
- Immediate Refunds: If a mistake is made, donors have a limited window of 30 minutes to request a refund via text directly.
- Post-Window Refunds: If the 30-minute window has passed, donors should contact their church administrator to request a refund.
