Overview of the Sites Search Function and How to Enable/Disable It
The search bar, located in the topbar of your site, allows visitors to search for content across your website.
For example, if a visitor wants to find a news post, sermon, or event from a past Easter service, they can type “Easter” into the search bar, and relevant content related to their search term will be displayed.
Important Note: The search function is basic, and results are not guaranteed for every search term. To improve the chances of content being picked up by the search function, we recommend placing important content within H1 headers. Content located outside of H1 headers may not be included in the search results.
Turn On the Search Function
Note: The search feature will only be available if you have chosen to display a topbar menu on your site.
- Log in to your Tithely site.
- In the top-right corner, click on the Admin menu.
- From the dropdown, select Design.
- In the left-hand menu, click on Topbar Menu.
- You can choose to toggle on either a Search Form or a Search Link.
- Once you’ve made your selection, click Save at the bottom of the page to apply the changes.
