Discover how to customize your website's navigation menu with ease, including adding a dedicated tab for prayer requests, About us, etc. Our guide covers creating drop downs, adding and updating menu items, reordering, and deleting options to streamline your site's layout.
Tithely Tip
For optimal website navigation and user experience, we advise limiting your main menu to 5-7 items. This ensures your site remains uncluttered and user-friendly, guiding visitors smoothly to essential information.
Before we start, here are some helpful definitions 📖
Menu Label
This is what you see on your website menu. Example: About Us, Giving, News.
Menu Link
The Link is where you want the user to go when they click on the menu. This could be a link to a page on your site, or it could be a different website.
Events link "/events"
News link "/news"

Using the Dropdown Selector
You can quickly and easily link to any area of your Tithely Site using the dropdown selector. Click the dropdown and select the area you'd like to link to.
Example: If you have a particular page you want to link the menu item to, select Pages. Then a secondary dropdown menu will appear. You can select the exact page to connect the menu item to here. Click Save Link to save your changes.
Manual Link Entry
To determine what the link should be, go to the page you want to create a link for and check the link in the address bar of your browser.
For example, if you wanted to link to the Children's Ministry, you would type in '/ministries/children-ministry' to the link tab.
🌟 Tithely Tip: When linking to an internal page on your site, you only need to grab everything after the .com/.ca/org.
