Create Custom Preconfigured Giving Links

Tithely is perfect for setting up payments (eg. childcare payments, school registration, paying dues, or anything else you can think of). We accomplish this by allowing you to set up parameters on the payment form through modifying the url link to create custom giving links.

Create Custom Giving Link

  1. Login to your Tithely account.
  2. Select Giving from the left-hand menu.
  3. Click the Back to Tithely 1.0 button.
  4. Under the 1.0 space click on Giving and choose Website Giving on the left hand side.
  5. Scroll down to the Direct Link Section and view your Quick Link (it will look like https://tithe.ly/give?c=355177). Your church ID are the digits at the end of the URL.
  6. Add your church ID to the end of this root URL: https://tithe.ly/give_new/www/#/tithely/give-one-time/
  7. Once you have added your church ID number to the end of the root URL simply add a ? at the end of the URL: (Your link should look something like this https://tithe.ly/give_new/www/#/tithely/give-one-time/######?)
  8. You can add one, two, or all three of the options below to your unique link. The only rule is they must be in order (giving type/fund, amount, and then button) if you do add multiple.

Add Giving Type / Fund

You can designate which fund you would like to be pulled into the giving custom giving page. If you would like gifts to go to a specific fund add the giving type/fund to the URL to direct gifts into that fund.

  1. Once you have your unique URL link that looks something like https://tithe.ly/give_new/www/#/tithely/give-one-time/######? you can specify the giving type / fund you would like people to be able to give to.
  2. You will add giving_to=FundName to the end of the URL. When adding spacing in your URL (fund name with multiple words) you will need to place %20 in place of the space.
    Here are some examples below:
    • giving_to=Building%20Fund
    • giving_to=General
    • giving_to=Missions%20and%20Development

Add Custom Amount

You can designate a specific amount that you would like this custom giving link to be locked in with. Let's say you want all payments to be $25 you can lock that number into the giving link.  You do not need to add this part to the URL if you would like donors to be able to choose the amount they'd like to give.

  1. Once you have your unique URL link that looks something like https://tithe.ly/give_new/www/#/tithely/give-one-time/######? you can specify the custom amount you would like people to pay/give.
  2. You will add &amount= to the unique URL. Make sure to include the amount you would like to force the the individual filling out the form to give.
    • &amount=15.00 (this forces user to give predetermined amount of $15.00)
    • &amount=100.00 (this forces user to give predetermined amount of $100.00)

Customized Give Button

The last parameter we can set is the button name at the bottom of the giving screen. Remember if you have more than one word you will need to add ‘%20’ between your words. For example, let’s use ‘Support Building Fund’ you will add ‘&action=’ then ‘Support%20Building%20Fund’. Check out the example below.

  1. Once you have your unique URL link that looks something like https://tithe.ly/give_new/www/#/tithely/give-one-time/######? you can customize the give button.
  2. You will add &action= to the unique URL and then customize the verbiage of the button. When adding spacing in your URL (fund name with multiple words) you will need to place %20 in place of the space.
    For example,
    • &action=Support%20the%20Missions%20team(this would update the button to read Support the Missions team $X.XX)
    • &action=Support%20Building%20Fund(this would update the button to read Support Building Fund$X.XX)
