Information for International Donors
Giving across borders is facilitated with ease through Tithe.ly, accommodating donors who are located in a different country from the church they are donating to. Here’s what you need to know as an international donor or as a church receiving international donations.
The donation processes in the currency of the donor's bank, followed by a currency conversion, to deposit into the church's bank account in the church’s local currency. For instance, if a donor from France, currently in Africa, decides to donate to a church in the United States, the donation will process in Euros, convert to USD, and then be deposited into the church’s U.S. bank account.
Fees and Charges
Any international transaction fees incurred are a responsibility of the donor and are charged by the donor's bank. Tithe.ly does not charge additional fees for international transactions aside from the normal processing fees.
Expectations for Churches
Churches should be aware that international donations will be converted and deposited into their bank accounts in their local currency. The conversion rate is determined by the donor's bank at the time of the transaction.
