Adding Social Media Integrations to Your Church App

Integrating social media into your app is a great way to keep your church connected and ensure they don't miss any information. The newsfeed feature connects all of your newest posts in one place.

We'll guide you through the process of adding Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter integrations to your app using the App Dashboard.

Facebook

Important Note: To integrate your Facebook page, it must be set completely to the public. This includes setting age and country restrictions.

  1. Login to your App Dashboard.
  2. Select Social in the left side menu.
  3. Navigate to the Facebook section, and click Add New.

  4. Click Grant Access.

  5. Log into your Facebook account.
  6. Next, you can select the Facebook Page you would like to add by selecting the page.
    Important Note: If you have multiple pages, you must add one at a time.

  7. Click Done, and follow the prompts to finalize the integration.

Adding Additional Facebook Page

Repeat the steps outlined above but be sure to deselect the previously added Facebook Page and only check off the new page you would like to add.
In the example above, Hillside Church | West Campus page was added. To add the second Page, Hillside Church | North Campus, deselect the West Campus and check ONLY the page you're adding

Updating the Settings for Your Facebook Page Feeds

To view and update the feed settings click on the feed you'd like.
You can update the following items:

  • tab name

  • tab icon

  • change the active status

    Instagram

    1. Login to your App Dashboard.
    2. Select Social in the left side menu.
    3. Navigate to the Instagram section, and click Add New.

    5. Log into your Instagram account. Note: Your Instagram must be set up as a business account in order to link it to the Church App. Here is an article on how!
    6. Follow the prompts and select Authorize. Once that’s complete, you’re all set!

     

    Twitter

    Caution

    Twitter integrations are currently unavailable. Please check back to this article or reach out to our team for updates on your social media integrations.

    Important Note: To integrate your Twitter page, it must be set completely to the public with no restrictions.

    1. Login to your App Dashboard.
    2. Select Social in the left side menu.
    3. Navigate to the Twitter section, and click Add New.

    4. Add your Twitter Screen Name (also referred to as Twitter handle). This can be found in the URL when viewing your Twitter profile.287353845-screen-shot-2021-03-31-at-4-16-04-pm.png
      In the example below the Twitter Screen Name is: hillsidenorth

    5. Next, update the table name and icon.
    6. Click Save.
