Transaction Details Overview

You can view complete detail for every transaction (every donation, gift, registration, and payment) that comes through the Tithely for your organization. Below we'll guide you through how to view transaction details, filter and search transactions, use columns, use and create saved views and export your transaction details. You'll be a pro in no time! 🎖️

Please Note: The first step of these sections is to login to your Tithely account.

How to Search Transactions

How To:

  1. Select Giving on the left-hand menu.

  2. Select Transactions from the Giving menu.

  3. In the search bar, type the first name, last name, or email address associated with a transaction.

How to View Transaction Details

How To:

  1. Select Giving on the left-hand menu.

  2. Select Transactions from the Giving menu.

  3. Find the transaction you'd like to view.

    The details are shown as a single line item and are based on the columns you've chosen. If you'd like complete details, simply click on the transaction.

How to Filter Transaction Details

How To:

  1. Select Giving on the left-hand menu.

  2. Select Transactions from the Giving menu.

  3. Click on the '+Filter' button.

  4. Click on the checkbox next to the filter(s) you'd like to apply:

    • Funds

    • Location

    • Product

    • Filter by Payment Type

    • Filter by Date

  5. Click Apply to filter transactions.

How to Show, Hide, and Re-order Columns

How To:

  1. Select Giving on the left-hand menu.

  2. Select Transactions from the Giving menu.

  3. Click the Columns button (grid of 9 squares at top right).

To show a column:

Click the checkbox next to the column name you'd like to show. The page will update live.

Please Note: There are 5 default columns:

  • First Name

  • Last Name

  • Location Name

  • Transaction Date/Time

  • Fees

To hide a column:

For a column that has already been selected, click the checkbox next to it, so that the box is no longer checked to hide the column. The page will update live.

To re-order columns:

Hover your mouse over the light gray icon to the right of the column name.

Drag the column name up or down and drop it where you'd like the column to be ordered.

How to Create a New Saved View

How To:

  1. Select Giving on the left-hand menu.

  2. Select Transactions from the Giving menu.

  3. Click the Views button (eye on the top right).

  4. Click the green Create button.

  5. Title the view.

  6. Click the Create New View button to create a new saved view.

    Please Note: The newly saved view will contain the filters and column date being displayed at the time of creation.

How to Run a Transaction Summary

How To:

  1. Select Giving on the left-hand menu.

  2. Select Transactions from the Giving menu.

  3. Click on the '+Filter' button and select the filters you'd like.

  4. Click the Summary button, which will generate once filters have been selected, to run a transaction summary.

  5. Review your Summary.

    Please Note: You can print or download the Summary as a PDF by clicking the 'Print' button.

How to Export a CSV of Transactions

How To:

  1. Select Giving on the left-hand menu.

  2. Select Transactions from the Giving menu.

  3. Using the + Filter button, select your date range of transactions.
  4. Click the Export button at the top right corner of the page.

  5. A file will download to your computer. Depending on your settings, this may go to your Downloads folder, Desktop or other pre-selected location.

    Please Note: The CSV export loads the columns and filters that are selected at the time of export.
