Hardcoded Image and File Links on Your Tithely Site

On June 4th, 2024, we're updating our platform to enhance security. This change affects a small number of users who have directly copied and pasted image or file links from their Tithely site to other locations. If you've only used the Tithely interface to add images or files, you won't be impacted.

What Changed?

The format of some image and file links has been updated.
Links previously in the format https://churchos-uploads.s3.ca-central-1.amazonaws.com/... are now in the format https://dq5pwpg1q8ru0.cloudfront.net/...

Who is Affected?

This change only impacts users who copied and pasted direct links to images or files from their Tithely site onto other parts of their site or other platforms. You might be affected if you see broken images or files on your site.

What Do I Need to Do?

If your images or files are not displaying correctly, you'll need to update the old links on your site. Here's how:

  1. Find the broken links: Look for any images or files on your site that are not displaying correctly.
  2. Replace the old part of the link:
Change the beginning of the link from:
    https://churchos-uploads.s3.ca-central-1.amazonaws.com/ to https://dq5pwpg1q8ru0.cloudfront.net/
    Example:
    Old Link: https://churchos-uploads.s3.ca-centra1.amazonaws.com/2020/10/23/12/06/13/03d5e618-7c90-4ae8-b1e69c838aa49928/stmarys_window.jpg
    New Link: https://dq5pwpg1q8ru0.cloudfront.net/2020/10/23/12/06/13/03d5e618-7c90-4ae8-b1e6-9c838aa49928/stmarys_window.jpg
