What if I only want to generate/send a statement to one person?

No trouble! You can choose an individual statement and hit Print or Email from there!

No, it will only email out statements when you choose to Email All statements.

If a donor donated under more than one email address, you can now Merge their tax statements together.

Will cash/check recordings from Admin Batch giving show up on my donors statements?

Yes, cash and check recordings from Admin Batch Giving will show up on the donor’s statements.


My country requires that the mailing address be on all tax receipts that are issued. What do I do if donors haven't provided their mailing address when donating?

If there are donors who have not provided their mailing address, you can add this information in for them by going to People > clicking the small Global Settings button next to the given person. Then edit it from here.


We issued tax receipts twice, but noticed that now people have duplicate receipts with different receipt numbers. They could potentially claim double the amount they gave as a deduction for this reason. What can we do?

At this time, each receipt will receive a unique receipt number each time it is generated. We recommend not emailing out your giving statements until you have thoroughly reviewed your donor records and settings.

Why aren't transactions from Tithe.ly Pay showing up on donor giving statements?

Tithe.ly Pay is for non-tax deductible payments for things such as merchandise, food, coffee, events, etc.

I can't find the downloaded statements. Where did they go?

Your downloaded PDF can mostly likely be found in your computer's Downloads folder.


It shows the whole amount, including fees, as tax deductible for the donor. How does this work?

The donor will receive a tax deduction for the entire amount charged to their account. How your church records net donations and if/how they record transaction costs should be ultimately decided by your bookkeeper/treasurer. Tithe.ly cannot give you any specific advisement as we are not certified tax professionals.
