Background Checks in People allow you to set a time duration for when background checks should expire. By default, no expiry date is set.

If you would like to set an expiry time duration for background checks, you can do so by following the steps below.

How to Set the Default Expiration for a Background Check

  1. Login to your Admin account.

  2. Select People from the left-hand menu.

  3. Select Settings from the People menu.

  4. Select Integrations.

  5. In the Checkr Integration, click the ⚙️ icon on the far right of the screen.

  6. Turn on the setting "Auto Expire Background Checks?".

  7. You can now adjust the duration that a background check should expire after completion. Update the duration to your preferred expiry default.

  8. Click Save Changes at the bottom of the screen.
