The cover letter that is included with each tax statement includes details specific to your church such as:

  • A Custom Title

  • A Custom Disclaimer

  • Church Name

  • Church Address

  • Church Tax ID

  • A Logo (Optional)

  • Signature of Church Staff Member

  • Printed Name of Staff member

  • Position Held by Church Staff Member

We'll guide you through how to update each field below.


How to Customize the Cover Letter for Tax Statements

Please Note: If you need to update your logo, we recommend you do this first.

For more information on how to update your logo, click here.

  1. Login to your Tithe.ly Admin account.

  2. Select Giving from the left-hand menu.

  3. Select Tax Statements from the Giving menu.

  4. If you are customizing the cover letter for a new batch of tax statements, click "New Tax Statements Batch".


    If you are customizing the cover letter for a previous batch of tax statements, click "Regenerate Tax Statements" underneath a previously run batch.

  5. A Tax Statement details card will load. Enter in the following information:

    • A Custom Title

    • A Custom Disclaimer

    • Church Name

    • Church Address

    • Church Tax ID

    • Signature of Church Staff Member (Upload an image)

    • Printed Name of Staff member

    • Position Held by Church Staff Member


    Please Note: The Tax Statement details card has a scroll function.

  6. Click the "Generate" button.
