Setup your Check Scanner in a few quick minutes! Please note, the Device Control will need to be installed before you can begin making deposits. We'll guide you through the installation below.
Important Note: Check Scanning will only work in the Google Chrome browser.
How to Install Your Check Scanner
Login to your Tithe.ly Admin account.
Select Giving from the left-hand menu.
Select Check Scanning from the Giving menu.
Click the arrow to the left of Check Scanning, In the drop-down menu, click Portal. A new tab will open, allowing a single sign on to the ProfitStars portal.
Once you are in the ProfitStars portal:
a) Scroll down and click on the ‘Remote Deposit Complete’ link
OR on the Dashboard menu on the left, choose 'Transactions' and click on the ‘Remote Deposit Complete’ link.
Follow the instructions below specific to if you are using a PC or Mac device.
If you are using a PC:
If using Internet Explorer: A Device Control prompt will appear, click ‘Run’.
If using Chrome: Click the ‘DeviceControlInstaller’ that loads on the bottom left of the page.
Once the install wizard tool appears, click ‘Install’.
If a prompt appears to ensure that you have the credentials to continue installation, click ‘OK’.
Enter your username and password and click ‘Install Software’.
A message that reads “Do you want to allow the following program to make changes to this computer?” may appear, click ‘Yes’.
If you are using a Mac:
Click the ‘DeviceControlInstaller’ download that loads on the bottom left of the page.
Once the install wizard tool appears, click ‘Continue’.
If prompted, enter your username and password and click ‘Install Software'.
A ‘Complete Device Control Setup’ window will appear, click ‘Complete’.
When prompted, enter your username and password and click ‘Update Settings’.
Once the software is installed, a message will read ‘The installation was successful,’ click ‘Close’.
