Gift Aid is a way for a donor to claim their donation on their tax returns and get a refund from the HMRC (kind of like the IRS in the US). Tithely doesn't pay out Gift Aid. What Tithely does is allow UK churches to enable the Gift Aid checkbox on the donation form, which donors can check if they are claiming gift aid on the donation. This is stored in the database. If a church would like to see who claimed gift aid and on what donations, they can export a CSV file from the giving statements, there is a column specific to gift aid.
