At Tithe.ly we strive to make data migration as painless as possible. The instructions below will guide you through how to export People, Giving and Groups information out of your current The City account to be imported into Elvanto.


How to Export People from The City

  1. Sign in to your The City account.

  2. Navigate to the Admin section (click the gear Icon at the top next to "Help").

  3. Use the people export option within the Admin section to export people in a CSV file.


How to Export Giving from The City

  1. Sign in to your The City account.

  2. Navigate to the Admin section (click the gear Icon at the top next to "Help").

  3. In the Admin section, expand the Financial menu. Make the following selections:
    a) Click Reports
    b) Select Data Export
    c) Click Export Data

  4. After a few minutes, click Refresh below the queue at the bottom of the page.

  5. When the report is ready, click ZIP to download a zip file of all your financial CSV spreadsheets.


How to Export Groups from The City

  1. Sign in to your The City account.

  2. Navigate to the Admin section (click the gear Icon at the top next to "Help"). Expand the Admin menu and select 'Groups'.

  3. Select the group "Church" (this should be the whole church) and click "Search".
    This will place the Group below the search box. Select it.

  4. From the Left click "View Participants".

  5. At the bottom you will see "Participant Reports". Make the following selections:
    a) Click the "Export Active and Inactive Participants to CSV"
    b) Click "Refresh until the File "CSV" is clickable.

  6. When it becomes available, click CSVlink and download the file.

    Please Note: There is no bulk group participation export. If you have offline participants, you will need to export each group individually. Follow steps 1 through 5 listed above, then select "Offline Participants". Following the remaining steps to download your file.
