At we strive to make data migration as painless as possible. The directions below will guide you through how to export People and Giving information out of your current Servant Keeper account to be imported into Elvanto.

Important Note:
Please do not edit the exported files. If you have to, please save them and send them to us as Excel spreadsheets (.xls, .xlsx) and NOT as .csv files.

How to Export People from Servant Keeper

  1. Login to your Servant Keeper account.

  2. Navigate to "Group" > "Add Group" > "selections and lists",

  3. This will bring up the Add/Edit Group Window. Call the Report "Tithely_People".

  4. Checklist the search results using "individuals" (not families).
    a) Select a field to search, use "Individual ID"
    b) Select how to search the field: "Is not Blank"
    c) Enter the item to search for: leave this field blank
    d) Add Criteria [+ Add] (click the add button)

  5. Click the "Select Fields" button.
    a) Select all the fields that you wish to import. You must include "Individual ID" and "Family ID".

  6. When done selecting, click the "Save" button.

  7. You should now be back at the Group Keeper main menu. Double Click the report "Tithely_People". This will bring up the preview.

  8. Click "Options"-> "Export Group" -> "Excel".

  9. Save the file.

How to Export Giving from Servant Keeper

On some versions, some menus and buttons may have different names, but the basic outline is the same.

  1. Login to your Servant Keeper account.

  2. Open up Contribution Manager.

  3. Navigate to "File" > "Save As (Export)" or "Export" > "List Individual Contributions".

  4. Check "Show Split Trans Detail".

  5. Click the "Individuals" radio button.

  6. Click "Select fields" and make the following selections:
    a) Select "Individual ID
    b) Select "Family ID"
    c) Select all fields related to contributions - Account, Amount, Tax, Type, Batch Date
    d) Click "Save"

  7. Check "Include Inactive People".

  8. Click the "Find" button.

    You may be asked about stopping at 500 rows, just click "NO".

  9. Click "Export" and select "Microsoft Excel".

  10. Save the file.

When complete, check that the file contains all relevant transactions.
Please Note: Servant Keeper will cut off data if there are too many (over 65535) transactions within the parameters specified. If this is the case for you, then we recommend re-doing the export by using date ranges to split up the data. As a general practice, we do not import giving information that is over 5 years old.
